Although I disagree with that view, I can see why they might think he may not deserve the same honour as Paul - songwriting career shorter, career post-Beatles less inmense and succesful, wasn't/sn't considered by many as an equal Beatle to J&P, etc. It's a shame, but I can see why. 'Just' offering him an OBE just a few years after Paul got his knighthood is very insensitive and not very well thought out. It seems George will always be under-appreciated.
