I think you can't do a John versus Paul. The Beatles were a unit and each Beatle had input into how the songs were constructed including George and Ringo. When I listen to their music, I don't have a favorite Beatle or song. I just listen to the music and enjoy them for what they are.
If we are talking solo career, then that is a different issue.
