Other upcoming screenings listed at the film's website are at the Sarasota Film Festival in Sarasota, FL. April 8 and 9, the XPN Music Film Festival in Philadelphia April 11, the Cleveland Film Festival April 11-13 (with the April 11 screening done with the Rock Hall of Fame), April 18 and 19 at the Nashville Film Festival, and April 27, 28 and May 4 at Hot Docs in Toronto, Ontario.

Learnt about his birthday from a Yahoo news article, my father is as old as Julian. Which is weird since he always sees him as John's son, and not realising they are about the same as age.

Yeah, always liked that picture. As Julian has said many times over the years, "there seems to be more pictures of Paul and me as a kid than me with my dad."

I thought Julian had brown hair?

I've seen a few pictures when he was really young and his hair is quite fair in them. I think it got darker as he got older.

Upon looking for Julian Lennon stuff on Youtube, I landed on a Howard Stern [radio] clip from 20 years ago.
Julian calls into the show.
Stern, says, "Is it really you?"
"Why, yes of course it is."
Stern (under his breath) "What can I ask him to see if it's really him?)
"OK, Mr. Julian Lennon, name the four Beatles."

I was making cupcakes today and I happened to glance up at the family-calendar which has an event and a quote for each day. Today's event (April 9th) is "On this day in 1970 The Beatles split up, never to sing together again". I shrieked at the calendar "That's tomorrow you idiot" while my brother walked in thinking I was talking to myself. a-hard-days-night-ringo-13 Damn you Beatles making me look crazy

 

Edit: I was also watching episodes of "Father Ted" (the best comedy show ever IMO) and I hadn't seen it a while and was wondering if there ...

Ooh father Ted! Aah they used to show that on some Comedy Channel over here. I don't think it's the BEST show ever but I really liked it. I love British comedies anyway, they're so different from American comedies though.

Oh and Dutch comedy is just very bad.

Haha I just told my parents (my dad is 52 and my mom 48) that it was his Birthday and he was 50 now and they both shouted in unison: ''FIFTYYYY?! WHAAAAT??!!!!'' They both found it so odd that they are around the same age as a son of one of the Beatles and how he was now older than John ...

At work today we were moving some stuff around and there were a few CD's there, mostly ones left behind by previous employees... and I found Revolver in there.  Score!  It's great because I know who left it there, and he's a little prick that stabbed me in the back pretty bad after he left...  Felt good taking that CD home.  Karma!  a-hard-days-night-paul-11

Hi folks,newbie here!

I love this story, which seems to get little attention in the memoirs. Four of the most famous people on earth!

During the recording of Abbey Road (late summer 1969), and at the height of the Klein v's Eastman lawyer furore as the group wrangled bitterly, John and George (with a pliant Ringo) were annoyed to see that the expected Paul was absent from the studio recordings. They abruptly broke the session, perhaps leaving George Martin mystified, and dashed from Abbey Road.

They hopped into a taxi and heading for Paul's house, scaled his high walls, snook through his garden ...

Today's quite a day for Beatles anniversaries. Stu died, Paul ''announces'' the split in the papers and Derek Taylor issues their final press release saying this, which I love (although it's sad):

''Spring is here and Leeds play Chelsea tomorrow and Ringo and John and George and Paul are alive and well and full of hope.

The world is still spinning and so are we and so are you.

When the spinning stops - that'll be the time to worry. Not before.

Until then, The Beatles are alive and well and the Beat goes on, the Beat goes on.''

Sounds like a mixture of the story where John stormed round and smashed a picture after Paul bailed out of a recording session for an Anniversary with Linda and the one where after Paul won the lawsuit in 1971 where he sued the others, John, George and Ringo stormed round to Paul's house and John climed over the gate and broke a window.

Neither are new or little known and neither are to be believed.

There is a thread kicking about somewhere which discusses both, im sure someone can post a link to it.
