You know you're a hardcore Beatles fan when you try to imagine parodies of Sgt. Pepper's cover with characters from various fandoms like Harry Potter or Donald Duck (I'm actually thinking of drawing a version with Disney ducks, but it would be hard work)

Paul loves to reminisce, he has to embellish these stories somehow or he'd run out of things to say. Of course, it's always possible that he's just misremembering; or maybe it was a vow that they kept among themselves.

If you analyse the Beatles history time-wise you'd no doubt find a ton of inaccuracies (that looks wrong spellingwise) when lined up with the Beatles own memories. Events and time shifts when you reminisce. I find it a hoot that in all the stories of the Beatles Please Please Me is referred to as their first number 1 single yet its not on the album 1 - takes an essay to explain why both premises are true (well in 1963 there were 4 sperately charts...).

That sounds like a cool idea!
There's a thread for this, if you haven't seen it:

I think they got it right from the beginning, "John, Paul, George and Ringo."
vonbontee on Is anyone else's answer to "Who is your favorite Beatle" different depending on when asked?
Regarding that: Way back in December of 1980, I was listening to a radio special on the life of Lennon, and there was an old sound clip of all four chanting "Ringo, John, Paul & George!" in that order, probably at some publicly broadcasted event or another. I recorded the special on cassette, and played it back so many times that it rings in my head to this day. And when I first began encountering the traditional "J P G & R" ranking in print, it always sounded unnatural to me. And still does, somewhat.
So: Does any hardcore fan ...

I replied to this a couple of hours, and it's disappeared! The clip is from a BBC Radio show (maybe Saturday Club?). Believe they're being interviewed on set of A Hard Day's Night. They start it slow, "John... ... Paul... ... George... ... Ringo... ..." build a bit of speed "John... Paul... George... Ringo..." and build into the chant. What you've heard is an edit, that just happens to start with Ringo.
vonbontee on Is anyone else's answer to "Who is your favorite Beatle" different depending on when asked?
I dunno, I think it's something else. It didn't sound like an edit, and they clearly added the "and" in between Paul & George.

Take a trip on the yellow submarine to the Rock Art Show this weekend.
Beatles Artist Rob Campbell, who created the Beatles TV cartoon and the "Yellow Submarine" will be at the event all weekend long.
Other highlights of the show include a rare hand signed lithograph from Paul McCartney, a signed lithograph from Bob Dylan, the first ever photograph of the Allman Brothers, a lithograph of the Rolling Stones' Voodoo Lounge cover signed by the ban, two early photographs of Bon Jovi, ...

Gerell, maybe try that poster out on your science teacher.
Parlance, the great thing about that clip is, can you imagine anyone else being able to do that to Paul?
(I was going to say "outside the Beatles," but actually, I don't see George or Ringo doing that.)
As for your clip, Unknown, that's an SOL (scream out loud)!!! YIKES!!!

I don't think Ringo would like the Donald Duck idea too much, because he dislikes the duck.
mja6758 on The Beatles in The Simpsons
Following vonbontee's suggestion that this deserved its own thread after I gave a choice of Paul Simpsons or George Simpsons in the "Choosing Between Two Things Things" thread, I'm starting one.
Three things to think about I think.
1) Which of the guest appearances is the most essential to the story/best?
For me the most essential is Ringo's. The whole story of that episode revolves around Ringo. Lisa becoming vegetarian. Hmmm... would have happened with or without Paul and Linda, they were just beautiful icing on the cake. The Be Sharps, always waiting to be done given all The Beatles' nods in The Simpsons.
The best? I love ...
LongHairedLady on The Beatles in The Simpsons
I really love the episode with Lisa becoming a vegetarian. I saw it when I was about 12 and that's when I first learned about Paul and Linda. I think it's cool that Paul only agreed to do the episode if Lisa stayed a vegetarian throughout the series, and she did!
The "B Sharps" episode is full of references. I have watched the George Harrison part about a million times and I still laugh every time:

That brief clip of John with the acoustic guitar singing "Imagine" onstage...when was this? What was that about appearing with Yoko in NY raising money for the retarded?? Those aren't related, are they?
The appearance with Yoko in NY raising money for the retarded was the "One to One" concert 30 August 1972 at Madison Square Garden, released as Live in New York City. That they say "last year..." is just one of those mistakes that creep into news reports.
The clip of Imagine is from A Salute to Sir Lew (Grade) on 18 April 1975:
