Here is a topic for me! I love the Ringo one. It is really one of the best early episodes there is. Being that the show didn;t get downright hilarious till season 3. But season one had its charm, and two you cold really see that it was starting to hit its mark, and that episodes is one of the best.

Maybe this is of topic if you only wanted references in other episodes (and you guys probably caught these the first time), but as to references in the George episode (which I like a lot, as I do the Paul ...

The Beatles get mentioned a lot with shows involving immortals.

Breaking Dawn Part 2, The Beatles got mentioned when a guy said he hated the British Invasion. Emmett followed with: "Even the Beatles?"

TVD, "The Beatles made the 60's somewhat bearable to me"

He had a different accent in the video above, my dad couldn't even believe that he's George.

Huh, first time I'd ever heard of that Lew Grade thing - I always thought his final appearance was with Elton John at MSG.

Yeah, Brian Epstein in the early days was always telling John to downplay the fact that he was married - for the very reason that the Be-Sharps' manager gave, more bluntly - and Cynthia was urged to keep out of sight frequently.

Actually now that I think of it, the Be-Sharps episode did have quite a few more laughs than I said upthread. (Grammy for "Outstanding Soul, Spoken Word or Barbershop Album"! "Look, 'Baby On Board'! Now people will stop intentionally ramming our car!" "Strati-who-vius?")

Oh, just thought of another references: Lisa's "Yellow Submarine"-like reverie after the dentist ...

Yeah, I remember watching that at the cinema and smiling when I heard that. When we came out, my friend said to me "I take it I saw you smile out the corner of my eye 'cause The Beatles were mentioned."
My friends know me well :)

I suppose it's like Candlestick Park vs. Apple Rooftop. MSG with Elton John was Lennon's last concert appearance before a paying audience, A Salute to Sir Lew was a televised event in front of the great and good. He hated Lew Grade (the man who bought Northern Songs) but it was a good chance to promote Rock 'n' Roll (he also performed Stand By Me - but I couldn't find footage of that), hence all the musicians having two faces and the "BOMF" on the drumkit, which is thought to stand for "Back of My Face" (though there are also claims for "Brothers of Mother ...

I got a couple of things professionally framed recently - signed prints by Peter Blake and Eduardo Paolozzi (my aunt knew him - he was Stuart Sutcliffe's tutor in Hamburg). Anyway, the framer put them under special glass (don't know precisely what, sorry), and also mounted them on non-acidic paper. If you speak to a decent framer they'll know what to do, and don't try to do it cheaply if it's a valuable item.

Not quite Beatles, but I do remember an old episode with a very sideburned Krusty the Clown in an old repeat of his show featuring "...what you've all been waiting for: Another long raga by Ravi Shanker!" *sitar begins* "Shankar!" "Shankar. Groovy, man."

I am almost as much of a Simspons fan as I am a Beatles fan (but I agree that it went downhill after season 12 or so, and what they're putting out these days is plain junk). As for Beatles references, I feel like there's one in every second episode. Of course the Be Sharps episode is the cream. One scene that I think of of the top of my head is Homer going to get a pair of glasses and the vendor offering him a pair that he tells him is the same model Yoko Ono wears, to which ...

Glad to hear you're feeling better, sucks that means a job you don't like. Hope nothing bad is happening in May.

Thank you.  In May it's a good thing:  We have a profit sharing plan, and the way it works is that each year you can take out half of your yearly amount, but you have to leave the other half in...  for the first 3 years.  After that you can quit and take the other half from each year out.  So if I quit before May I would lose thousands of dollars, but after May...  I'm in the ...

I knew about the ''Ringo has written a song'' one and the first one, but not the other 2. Thanks.

I was watching the last one and I was like ''hey, I understand those subtitles'' before realising they are Dutch *facepalm* Goodmorning Linde..
